• Light the charcoal disc in accordance with the instructions on the disc packaging.
• Once it sparks and turns grey, place it in a heatproof dish or on a bed of sand.
• Sprinkle a small pinch of the loose herb blend directly onto the hot charcoal.
• Let it smoulder and release smoke, move slowly through the space you wish to clear, letting the smoke drift into corners and quiet places.
• Add another small pinch as needed; a little goes a long way.
• Extinguish the charcoal fully in sand or water when finished. Never leave burning herbs or charcoal unattended.

Smudging should always be done with care and mindfulness. Use sage and other smudging herbs in a well-ventilated area, keeping them away from flammable materials, children, and pets. Never leave burning or smouldering sage unattended, and ensure the bundle is fully extinguished before disposal or storage.
