• Hold the sage stick at a slight angle and light the tip until it catches flame.
• Let it burn for a few seconds, then gently blow out the flame so the tip smoulders and releases smoke.
• Hold the stick over a heatproof dish to catch any falling ash or embers.
• Move slowly through the space, object, or area you wish to clear, letting the smoke drift into corners and quiet places.
• If the smoke stops, gently relight the tip and continue.
• Extinguish fully by pressing the tip into sand, ash, or a heatproof dish until no ember remains. Never submerge in water, as this can damage the bundle for future use.
• Store in a cool, dry place between uses.

Always burn on a lit charcoal disc placed in a heatproof dish or on a bed of sand, never place the herb blend directly on an unprotected surface.
